The new ZaggFolio is the all-in-one iPad 2 companion of the Summer season. There’s so much going on with this case that is just better than any of the competition… we’ve all seen iPad keyboard cases before, we’ve seen them for the original iPad and the iPad 2. But as they say on their site: This one is different. The exterior folio case is made from a carbon fiber material that looks and feels very slick. Carbon fiber, aluminum, and glass just seem to go together like chocolate, peanut butter, and my mouth. The iPad is protected by a microfiber interior to keep it safe and sound. Access to all the ports is readily available, and the case turns into an iPad stand quick as you like. The ZaggFolio weighs in at just 19 ounces and is as thin as can be considering there’s a sweet keyboard inside. Plus it’s got smart cover functionality with the magnetic on/off sensor when you open or close the case!

And what a keyboard! Inspired by Apple’s own bluetooth keyboard and the black Macbook keyboard keys, this baby looks like it was tailer made for the iPad. Designed for space saving but accurate typing, the keyboard easily pairs with the iPad 2 and even has specific keys for shortcuts to the iPad 2 volume controls, home button, search, and even copy/paste! The internal 510 mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery lasts several weeks between charges, so you won’t have to constantly worry about plugging it in. Oh, and it’s also removable and supports the iPad in portrait mode as well, if that’s the kind of thing that gets you going.

All in all, the new ZaggFolio is the best marriage of iPad 2 keyboard and iPad 2 case we’ve seen to date. It’s got so much going for it that we now have a serious existential dilemma on our hands: Which Zagg case do we use? The ZaggMate that looks like it was cut from the same piece of aluminum as the iPad tablet, or the ZaggFolio which adds an air of class and quality to any serious iPadder… only time will tell.
